Having collectively had the privilege to work with a multitude of leading development studios on a variety of best-selling and critically acclaimed video games, the Red Kite team is uniquely placed with both experience and expertise.
Simon Iwaniszak – Managing Director
With 10 years of games industry experience, Simon started his career working at Rockstar. Having spent time in both the UK and US, Simon worked as a senior designer on several titles including Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars (NDS, PSP & iOS), Red Dead Redemption (Xbox 360 & PS3) and L.A. Noire (Xbox 360 & PS3).
As a highly skilled video games developer and successful entrepreneur Simon has extensive experience in the creation of top quality video games for all major platforms and business models.
David Roberts – Creative Director
David Roberts has over a decade of games industry experience having worked across multi-disciplined development teams in the UK, US and Australia. He joined Rockstar in 2006 where he worked as a senior designer on the critically acclaimed Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars (NDS, PSP & iOS), Red Redemption (Xbox 360 & PS3) and L.A. Noire (Xbox 360, PS3 & PC). David was quickly promoted to the role of Lead Designer at Rockstar and managing a core team of 20 designers helped to develop several more award winning titles such as Max Payne 3 (Xbox 360 & PS3) and Grand Theft Auto V (Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, XB1 & PC).
David joined Red Kite Games as Creative Director in 2015 to apply his extensive knowledge and game design experience to help drive forward the growth of a world class development studio.
Andrew Greensmith – Technical Director
Andrew Greensmith graduated from the University of Abertay with distinction in Computer Games Technologies in 2001, where he successfully published his first game Wapletes in conjunction with the Dare to be Digital competition. With 15+ years of experience, Andrew’s career really took hold when he accepted the role of Lead Programmer at Rockstar in 2004. At Rockstar Andrew managed a core team of 25 programmers and proved fundamental in successfully bringing the award winning and critically acclaimed Grand Theft Auto franchise to the handheld console market. A feat that many people within the games industry did not believe would be possible at the time. These titles included, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories (PSP & PS2), Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories (PSP & PS2) and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars (NDS, PSP & iOS). In addition to this, Andrew also helped develop Midnight Club 2: DUB Edition (PS2, PSP & XB) and Manhunt 2 (Wii, PS2, PSP & PC) eventually crowning his time at Rockstar with the development of the still unsurpassed Red Dead Redemption (Xbox 360 & PS3) and technically ground breaking L.A. Noire (Xbox 360, PS3 & PC).
In 2012 Andrew left Rockstar and was hired by Activision into the role of Technical Director for their new studio The Blast Furnace where he worked on various big named IP’s including the massive Call Of Duty: Strike Team. After the unfortunate closure of the studio in 2014 Andrew was contracted by Red Kite Games to help bring God of War III to the PS4. Having seized the opportunity to reunite with old colleagues, Andrew excitedly accepted the role of Technical Director in 2015.
As a highly proficient and technically led studio, Andrew is once again using his extensive experience to help grow and cultivate Red Kite’s already stellar reputation.
